When you think of bull riders, surfing may not be the first activity that comes to mind. However, for Clayton Sellers and Najiah Knight, water sports are a fun way to unwind from the adrenaline of rodeo life. As part of Ariat’s “What’s Your Rush?” campaign, we took these fearless athletes to Texas for a wake-surfing adventure they’ll never forget.
Wake surfing in Texas isn’t just about catching waves; it’s about embracing a culture where land and water sports collide. From bull riding to water sports, the connection between balance, strength, and fun is undeniable. It was an unforgettable experience to see these athletes—known for taming bulls—tame the waves of Texas with ease.
Wake surfing in Texas provides a different kind of challenge, one that’s not about staying on a bucking bull but riding a smooth wave. Our day was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and of course, some impressive surfing skills. And yes, I was fortunate enough to catch some Texas-sized waves myself!
The campaign “What’s Your Rush?” perfectly embodies the spirit of bull riders like Clayton and Najiah, who are always seeking the next thrill, whether it’s on land or in the water. The experience proved that even the toughest athletes need time to relax and enjoy their free time—Texas style!
