Weather can be unpredictable, especially when you’re shooting on location. At Jennifer Diehl Production + Talent, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges, but few compare to the unexpected snowstorm that hit during a Hoka shoot in Sun Valley. What started as a routine production quickly turned into a test of endurance and adaptability as we found ourselves battling feet of snow.
Originally, our tech scout revealed a landscape devoid of snow, leading us to plan for a dry shoot. However, Mother Nature had other plans. As the storm rolled in, we had to adjust our entire production strategy on the fly. The crew, local talent, and everyone involved showed incredible resilience as we hiked through deep snow and continued shooting without missing a beat.

This shoot wasn’t just about capturing beautiful imagery; it was about showcasing the strength and determination of both the talent and the crew. The models, who were dressed in Hoka’s latest gear, perfectly embodied the brand’s spirit of overcoming challenges, no matter how extreme.

The experience highlighted the importance of flexibility and quick thinking in commercial modeling jobs. Our ability to adapt to the harsh conditions ensured that the final product was not only visually stunning but also a true representation of what it means to be relentless in the face of adversity.

At Jennifer Diehl Production + Talent, we’re proud of how our team handled this shoot. It’s a testament to the professionalism and grit that defines our work, proving that no matter the weather, we deliver results.
