There are few things more awe-inspiring than witnessing an eclipse, but experiencing it twice while on location for a shoot? That’s pure magic. Jennifer Diehl Production + Talent had the unique opportunity to shoot through not one, but two eclipses, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.
The first occurred in October 2023 while we were on set in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, shooting a campaign for Blue Cross of Idaho with the Kern Agency. As the eclipse began, the atmosphere changed dramatically—it got quiet, the light dimmed, and for a brief moment, the world felt suspended in time. The indoor set we had painstakingly constructed suddenly took on a whole new level of realism, making the shoot even more believable.
The second eclipse happened in April 2024 during a scouting trip in Utah for an Ariat campaign. This time, we were at the Salt Flats and The Knolls, where the partial eclipse added an ethereal quality to the landscape. Sharing this rare event with a crew of talented professionals made the experience even more memorable.
These celestial events are a reminder of the unpredictability and beauty of nature, which can add an extraordinary element to any production. At Jennifer Diehl Production + Talent, we embrace these moments, knowing they can turn a routine shoot into something truly special.

Capturing these eclipses on camera was a challenge, but one that we were more than ready to meet. The end result was a series of images that not only met our clients’ expectations but exceeded them, creating a lasting impression that will be remembered for years to come.
